In 1840, in Kanagawa, in the great bay of Tokyo, Master Hokusai decided to open a school of painting and share his artistic knowledge with his students.
The Kanagawa Yokai expansion for the board game Kanagawa adds new motifs to your paintings, such as flying kites, parasols, and paper lanterns. All you have to do is replace any two elements from the base game with these new elements. Some of the cards in this expansion include a Yokai symbol that is visible regardless of whether you place the card in your painting or in your studio. When you place such a card, you take a Yokai marker from the reserve or from another player, and if you collect all three such markers, you gain a reward. However, you hope someone else will take them later, because players with Yokai markers at the end of the game lose points. Are you ready for another painting adventure?
