In this game, one of the players takes on the role of Jack the Ripper, who attempts to murder his victims on the streets of London. The other players are the police, trying to stop Jack from carrying out his plan. The map of London features various locations, marked with numbers. Jack moves secretly through these locations in order to reach his victims. If he sees the police approaching, Jack can use a carriage to cross a greater number of spaces or a lantern to take a shortcut through the city. To win the game, Jack must murder 5 victims and escape to his hideout. The police also have a few tricks. Players can search for clues and use deduction to try and discover where Jack was located and where he will move next. Additionally, the police can warn a victim and move them a couple of spaces on the board. The police win when they find the location where Jack is currently situated.
