The Malefic Time Tarot is illustrated by Luis Royo and Romulo Royo, created in a pale, washed-out style that is mostly colored in black and various shades of gray, with some accents of intense red. Together, these two artists combine strength with beauty, and their style possesses a fierceness and a subtle gothic fervor. All Major Arcana and court cards feature their own illustrations, whereas the Minor Arcana (except for the aces) do not; they are represented numerically.
